I was working on polishing up my resume’ the other day, and I was prompted by more than one person to use “power words” and convey “action”. Indeed. I program for a living, sitting in a chair. Doesn’t sound very action-oriented to me!

It so happens that a co-worker sent me a link to an Internet Economy BS Generator. At the press of a button, anyone can create power phrases that could be good resume’ fodder. For example, here’s the first 3 clicks this morning:

redefine efficient portals

enable back-end channels

benchmark customized web services

Certainly I can generate all kinds of powerful expressions to put into my cv and raise my standing on the recruit-o-meter at Dice.com.

On second thought, potential employers might wonder about my desire to “enable back-end channels”.

Kudos to “DHTML Diva” Leslie Lee for a very funny web application.
