Workout 8/29/2009
Workout “C” today. This is my 5th time through on this particular workout since mid-June. I was able to increase the workload on the Escalating Density Training set #2 by a full set, and I upped the weight for the Turkish getups at the end of the workout. I am pretty sure I can increase the double swings at the beginning, but who knows what havoc that will have on the rest of the workout. I probably need to concentrate on EDT 1, getting my form and speed correct in order to increase the workload on that portion. The increase in the weight for the getups sounded like a good idea at the beginning of the set. I questioned my enthusiasm about halfway through. I made it, though.

I’m concentrating on density and kettlebell form for the next couple of weeks, in anticipation of the advanced workshop I’m doing on September 12th with the Dane of Pain, Kenneth Jay. I anticipate 6 pretty intense hours on that date, learning how to increase VO2 Max via kettlebell intervals. All exercise efforts will be focused on that at present!
I think there are a few places left for the Kenneth Jay workshop in Seattle on 9/12. If you’ve got the basics already and want to move to the next level of fitness, there really is no better opportunity to take advantage of one of the masters of the form.
