Workout 7/31/2009

Workout “B”.  I was dog-tired after staying up being social far too late into the night on Thursday.  Between the sleep deprivation and the heat factor, the last thing I wanted to do was to exercise.  But work out I did.  I even kicked up the number of sprints in order to justify a couple of slices of pizza tonight.  Nice when you can rationalize, no?

4 sets:

  • Single Leg KB Deadlift, 2 x 20kg kettlebells, 6 reps R & L
  • KB High Pull  12 reps R & L, 16kg

3 sets:

  • Blast Strap Single Leg Squats (Pistols) 10 reps/each leg
  • Stability Ball Push Up + Tuck In  10 reps

3 sets:

  • Dumbell Squat Jump (10 lbs dumbells)  12 reps
  • Blast Strap Scarecrows 12 reps

10 x Uphill Sprint Intervals (my street is a 6-7% grade):

  • Sprint up 50 yards, jog/walk fast down

I probably should have worked out Wednesday or Thursday, but frankly my hamstrings were so tight from Tuesday’s romanian deadlifts I just couldn’t bear the thought until tonight.  For the record, no less than 6 neighbors saw me run 50 yards up my hill, walk back down, then run up again.  I’m sure they’re meeting tonight to discuss the lunacy of the guy at the end of the street.
