Litvinov Intervals (Litvisprints)

I tried these a week or so ago, and Luka “hinted” that I hadn’t run enough. I’d seen some articles on the web that talked about doing 30 yards or so, so I did 40-50. “Do 100 yards”. Ooooo Kayyyyy….

I had shoulder soreness again last night, so between that and the fact that I feel entitled to slack a bit on my b-day, I decided to do an abbreviated workout with Litvinov intervals instead. This involves doing some heavy weight somethingerother, followed by running up a hill. Three times should just about cook me, and give my metabolism a nice boost so I can burn off whatever nastiness I eat later. So, my chosen poison today was:

  • 30 kettlebell swings w/32kg kettlebell
  • 80 yard dash uphill (distance approximate… anyone have a 100 yard tape measure?)

Given the forecast temperature for the day, I wanted to get these in before 10 a.m., when it was a cool 80 degrees outside. I managed three sets before I died.
