Workout 2/25/2009
Decided to go for kettlebells tonight, when I usually would have done spin/intervals. Impulsive, I know.
3 sets:
- 10 double suitcase deadlifts, 2 x 20 kg kb’s
- 10 slingshot R & L 20 kg
- 5 staggered pushups R & L
3 sets:
- 5 Turkish Get-Up sit-ups w/pump, R & L, 16 kg
- 10 russian twist
- plank, 30 seconds
3 sets:
- 5 Squat to Press, R & L, 20 kg
Afterward, I drove up to east hill Kent to drop in on the High Intensity Training group that I was a part of last winter. A couple of new faces, a couple of missing faces, but pretty much the same as last year. I like how folks even set their bikes up in the same exact location year-to-year, like one spot in the 3 car garage is more “homey” for them. I kind of miss it, but in a Stockholm Syndrome sort of way. I actually need to start working more bike into my workouts… only about 9 weeks to the May Day Metric, and 12 weeks to CROC. I’ve made great strides on the weight portion of the power/weight ratio thing… time to work on endurance!
