What do you need to buy this item for, exactly? I recently needed to lock the wheel of my bike recently while I rummaged in the rear compartment. I took off my glove and did the same clamping action with its velcro wrist closure. I'll nearly always ride with gloves, and I won't have to take up valuable bike bag space with another gizmo. hmpf.
