CROC Registration Opens

Cabbage (Hill) PatchRegistration for my all-time favorite weekend of riding, Pendleton Oregon’s Century Ride of the Centuries (CROC) has opened (actually opened 2 days ago, but I had to give my registration form a head-start!). Memorial Day Weekend of 2008 will be my third time at CROC (see ride report links, below). This 3-days of supported riding is limited to 250 riders. Click the link to their website, click “Registration”, and download the mail-in form.

They are also scheduled to have a booth at this year’s Group Health International Bike Expo March 8 & 9. The routes and complete itinerary have yet to be posted. The major change from years past is that the Bar M Dude Ranch where the group used to spend Sunday night has been sold, and is no longer part of the ride. It appears that all 3 days of riding will start and end at the “host” hotel, the Wildhorse Hotel and Casino.

Also note that getting home to Seattle on Memorial Day Monday (after riding in the morning) is a challenge. I-90 backs up from Ellensburg up past Roslyn, and it takes a couple of extra hours to make the crossing. We stayed last year until Tuesday morning, and did not regret the extra day. Your mileage may vary.
