2 days to make 23 miles
My best-laid plans to get out the door at oh-dark-thirty were thwarted by a 6-10 a.m. payroll troubleshooting call. As any database programmer worth his or her salt will tell you, a blank and a null aren’t the same thing, even though there’s nothing there in either case… sort of. If you are going to trap one in your code, you should trap the other. Enough said.
So I made it out the door shortly after 10, and managed to ride a few hours before the weather turned to wet. It was a nice, solitary day in the saddle. I chose to ride south into the slight headwind, and made it to Orting before doing a 180 degree turn and heading back toward Kent, and lunch with my honey. 44.55 miles on the day.
4,981.4 year-to-date, 176.99 month-to-date. Looks like I may just make it!
