A longer night ride

Tuesday is the night for Use It or Lose It. We headed south to the town of Sumner. The stated goal was to head south into the wind so that our return trip would be a bit easier. My ulterior motive was that the ride to Sumner and back is slightly longer mileage than we usually do.

We had 5 riders in our group. We rode on backroads and the Interurban Trail as far south as where the road splits at the White River, then returned. We also took a side trip on a small stub of a trail north of Sumner. It’s one of these trails that must be a part of someone’s long-range plan, because right now it’s a bridge and 0.7 miles of trail to nowhere.

26.75 miles on the night. I hope I don’t suffer too badly in HIT training tonight after having ridden the past two nights.

4,774 miles year-to-date. 30.13 still needed in November. Nothing like going down to the wire, Calnan.
