Kent Transportation Master Plan – Open House
The City of Kent Public Works Department is holding a public open house to present the first draft of the revised Transportation Master Plan to the public. The meeting will be held Thursday, September 20, 2007 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM in the Green River Community College Campus at Kent Station. The address is 417 Ramsey Way, Suite 112, Room 245, Kent. The proposed bicycle network for Kent will be shown along with the portions to be implemented in the next 20 years.
- 80 – The minimum number of riders that need to show up at this meeting.
- 50 – The millions of dollars in the plan for bicycle facilities.
- 150 – The number of miles in the proposed bicycle network
The challenge for each of you that ride in Kent is to arrange your day so you can attend. The Kent Public Works Department will plan for more cycling facilities if they see and hear from many bicycle riders. Your presence is vital to goal of making Kent a bicycle friendly city.
