My preference is to DVR the live version of the broadcast, and watch that when I can (how many Cervélo ads can one man stand, anyway?). The evening recap shows usually have more interview content, but a way higher “drone” factor with Al Trautwig trying to upstage Bob Roll by endless bloviating.

If his teammates can step up, I think Vino is the man to beat this year.  Sorry, Vino, but that is probably the “kiss of death” to your yellow jersey dreams.  I picked Basso last year, and look what happened to him!

  1. One of the most exciting things to happen to me this year was the advent of cable in our home. That being said, I may still force m’self out of bed at least one day in order to ride downtown at the crack of dawn and watch leTDF at the Bike Gallery. w00t!
